Exotec Revolutionizes Intralogistics at Dosenbach-Ochsner AG

Munich Airport, February 17, 2026 — Swiss footwear retailer Dosenbach-Ochsner AG, part of the DEICHMANN Group, announced the go- live of their new site in Luterbach (Canton of Solothurn). At the heart of their new distribution center is Exotec’s warehouse automation solutions, which are already delivering impressive results and exceeding expectations.

Dosenbach-Ochsner sells shoes under multiple brands, including Dosenbach, Ochsner Shoes, and Ochsner Sport both in-store and online, presenting significant challenges for traditional warehouse automation. The new, omnichannel facility reflects their intention to future-proof its logistics operations as consumer demands grow.

Exotec was selected to provide a modern automated solution thanks to the Skypod System’s ability to scale quickly and efficiently during peak periods. Miebach Consulting Switzerland supported the project in an advisory capacity. More than 100 Skypod robots were deployed, supplying pick and pack stations from approximately 174,000 storage locations.

“E-commerce places very different demands on intralogistics than brick-and-mortar retail,” said Gregor Oberfranz, Head of Logistics at Dosenbach-Ochsner AG. “This becomes especially clear when it comes to managing sudden surges in demand. With Exotec, we now have the flexibility and capacity to handle these peaks seamlessly.”

“We are proud to support Dosenbach-Ochsner with our Skypod System,” added Andreas Stöckl, eVP Sales Central Europe at Exotec. “It is particularly rewarding to see how quickly the benefits have become visible following go-live.”
